Description
Implement the unit operations plan by understanding key activities, projects, and performance indicators; communicating objectives to relevant stakeholders; and monitoring execution on a daily basis.
Report on performance by tracking unit outcomes against targets, identifying progress and areas of concern, and submitting them quarterly or as required.
Manage unit performance by continuously monitoring results, detecting anomalies, and executing corrective actions on a monthly basis or as operational needs arise.
Control optimal stock levels by coordinating with internal teams, assessing material requirements, monitoring inventory levels, analyzing trends, and requisitioning stock as needed.
Support product ordering for the site by sourcing suppliers, maintaining strong supplier and vendor relationships, negotiating and managing contracts, and identifying risks with appropriate contingency plans on a monthly basis and as required.
Ensure on-time delivery of materials by managing minimum stock thresholds, staying informed on forecasted material needs, and preparing for unforeseen demands with effective contingency strategies.
Support effective stock management and storage by monitoring material usage, applying the First-In-First-Out (FIFO) method to prevent product expiration or degradation, and overseeing the safe and compliant disposal of obsolete materials as needed.
Requirements
Matric / Grade 12 or equivalent.
Diploma, Certificate in supply chain management, logistics or similar
5+ years in supply chain explosives and/or mining.
Proven experience in explosives magazine registers maintenance.
Stock Management System, SAP, Microsoft Office.
