Key Responsibilities
Support the development, review and use of programme monitoring and data collection tools.
Support the collection, entry, cleaning and management of programme data.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date programme databases and MEAL records.
Support programme teamsin tracking project indicators, targets, outputs and outcomes.
Conduct routine data quality checks to identify inconsistencies, gaps and errors.
Support field monitoring visits, surveys, assessments and other data collection activities.
Administer digital and physical data collection tools asrequired.
Assist in analysing programme data and preparing basic tables, summaries and visualisations.
Support the preparation of programme, donor and internal monitoring reports.
Support documentation of lessons learned, good practices, success stories and emerging programme findings.
Assist in tracking feedback, complaints and responsesin accordance with YAA procedures.
Support programme teams to use monitoring findings to strengthen implementation and decision-making.
Undertake field travel within Kenya to support monitoring, data collection and programme activities when required.
Perform any other MEAL-related duties assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications, Experience and Competencies
Applicants should possess:
A Diploma or degree in Monitoring and Evaluation or a related field.
Previous professional experience of at least 3 years in practical experience in monitoring, research, data collection or programme support will be an added advantage.
Good organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
Willingness and ability to undertake field travel within Kenya for monitoring, data collection and programme activities.
Commitment to confidentiality, ethical data management and responsible handling of programme and participant information.
Familiarity with KoboToolbox or other digital data collection platforms will be an added advantage.
Familiarity with Google Forms, Google Sheets, Power BI, SPSS, R, Stata or other data management, analysis and visualisation tools will be an added advantage.
Experience supporting surveys, assessments, research, field-based data collection or MEAL databases will be an added advantage.
Experience working with youth-focused, governance, development or civil society programmes will be an added advantage.
Demonstrated willingness to learn, adapt to new tools and work in a dynamic programme environment.
