Job Summary
Harvest Feeds and Agro Processing Ltd is seeking a skilled and experienced Mechanical Engineer to oversee the operation, maintenance, and optimization of mechanical equipment within our agro-processing and industrial facility. The ideal candidate will ensure efficient plant operations, minimize downtime, and support continuous production improvement.
Key Responsibilities
Operate, maintain, and repair mechanical equipment and production machinery
Conduct routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting
Diagnose mechanical faults and implement corrective actions promptly
Ensure optimal performance of processing, drying, and conveying systems
Maintain accurate maintenance records and technical reports
Ensure compliance with safety, health, and environmental standards
Support installation and commissioning of new equipment
Work closely with production and management teams to improve efficiency
Train technicians and operators on proper equipment handling
Requirements
BSc / HND in Mechanical Engineering or related field
3 - 5 years' relevant experience in an industrial, manufacturing, or factory setting
Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, maintenance practices, and safety standards
Ability to troubleshoot under pressure and meet production timelines
Good documentation and reporting skills
Strong communication and teamwork abilities
Preferably Male
Added Advantage
Experience in agro-processing or food/feed manufacturing plants
Knowledge of dryers, boilers, conveyors, and processing equipment
Certification in industrial maintenance or safety-related courses
