Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Mechanical Engineer based in Lagos State, Nigeria. The Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for designing and developing machinery, creating machine models using CAD software, overseeing projects from concept to completion, and conducting research and development to drive innovation. Additional responsibilities include implementing technical solutions, conducting performance tests, and ensuring all engineering projects meet safety, quality, and engineering standards.
Key Responsibilities
Strong proficiency in Mechanical Engineering principles and practices
Experience in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software
Project Management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines
Design and oversee gas reticulation and pipeline installation projects
Supervise gas pipe laying works, testing, and commissioning
Coordinate with contracts, inspectors, and project teams
Prepare technical drawings, report, and documentation
Research and Development (R&D) expertise to drive innovation and improve engineering solutions
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
Strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
Experience with natural gas and LPG distribution systems
Relevant professional certifications are an advantage
