Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance on mechanical equipment used in cassava processing and starch production.
Diagnose and resolve mechanical faults quickly to minimize production downtime and operational disruptions.
Monitor equipment performance and identify early signs of wear, misalignment, or failure.
Support installation, calibration, and commissioning of new and existing mechanical systems.
Maintain proper lubrication, alignment, and servicing of machines to ensure efficient operation.
Collaborate with Production teams to ensure machines operate within required performance standards.
Follow safety procedures and maintenance protocols to prevent accidents and equipment damage.
Maintain accurate maintenance records, service logs, and equipment documentation.
Assist in reducing mechanical-related waste, rework, and inefficiencies within the plant.
Support continuous improvement initiatives aimed at improving equipment reliability and process flow.


Qualifications


National Diploma (ND), Higher National Diploma (HND), or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
Minimum of 3 - 5 years' mechanical maintenance experience in FMCG, food processing, agro-processing, or industrial manufacturing.
Strong hands-on experience with pumps, conveyors, motors, gearboxes, dryers, and processing equipment.
Ability to diagnose mechanical faults and carry out effective repairs under minimal supervision.
Good understanding of preventive maintenance practices in a factory environment.
Familiarity with safety standards and maintenance procedures in processing plants.
Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and equipment manuals.
Strong attention to detail, discipline, and problem-solving skills
Willingness to work in a shift-based industrial environment.
