Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Mechanical Technician to join our technical team.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing mechanical equipment and machinery to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
The successful candidate must possess strong technical expertise, problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to workplace safety and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on mechanical equipment and machinery.
Diagnose mechanical faults and carry out repairs efficiently to minimize downtime.
Install, inspect, test, and maintain mechanical systems and components.
Monitor equipment performance and recommend improvements for operational efficiency.
Conduct routine inspections and ensure machinery operates according to safety and quality standards.
Read and interpret technical drawings, manuals, and engineering specifications.
Maintain accurate maintenance records, reports, and documentation.
Collaborate with engineers and other technical personnel to resolve mechanical issues.
Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and maintenance procedures.
Support production and operations teams to achieve productivity targets.
Requirements
Minimum of OND, HND, or Trade Test Certification in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
Proven experience as a Mechanical Technician or similar technical role.
Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, equipment maintenance, and troubleshooting techniques.
Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment effectively.
Good understanding of workplace safety practices and procedures.
Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams and schematics.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Good communication and teamwork abilities.
Preferred Skills:
Knowledge of industrial machinery and production equipment.
Familiarity with preventive maintenance systems.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Salary
N150,000 - N200,000 per month.
