Requirements
Qualifications required:
Minimum academic qualification: Diploma or Higher National Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (Plant, Production, or Industrial Option).
Qualifications as an added advantage: Auto CAD
Experience required:
Minimum 7 years of hands-on experience in a manufacturing or heavy industrial Manufacturing plant, preferably in a rolling mill or steel processing environment.
3 years in supervisory role
Key competencies and skills:
Ability to read and interpret machine, hydraulic, and pneumatic schematic drawings.
Good knowledge of Hydraulic & pneumatic systems.
Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
Ability to read mechanical drawings and technical manuals.
Good understanding of preventive and predictive maintenance systems.
Knowledge of safety and regulatory compliance in an industrial setup.
Team player with good communication and reporting skills.
Familiarity with CMMS systems (e.g., SAP PM module) is an added advantage
Computer literacy:
MicroSoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Personality profile:
Ability to work alone and as a member of a team.
Self Motivated and willing to work additional hours
Good communication skills
Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
Additional/specific work requirements:
Knowledge of ERP SAP PM Module
Plant Maintenance (Preventive maintenance, Corrective-based maintenance, Breakdown maintenance)
TPM & Gemba Kaizen knowledge.
