Purpose
To ensure that all routine maintenance/planned preventive maintenance jobs on machines are carried out strictly and timely
The Job
Carry out routine lubrication plans of all pumps, gear boxes, coupling etc.
Report daily activities to the line manager and shift coordinator to achieve smooth running of all machines and equipment.
Adhere strictly to safe work procedures during repairs and maintenance activities.
Carry out daily, periodic checks on all pumps, bolts and nuts to avoid misalignment of moving parts.
Attend to any unusual condition of all moving parts such as conveyors to solve the problem on time before degenerating.
Read and interpret blueprints, sketches and diagrams to determine assembly operations
Fit and assemble prefabricated metal parts to build heavy industrial machinery and equipment such as conveyors, elevators, pumps
Install major components such as gears, pumps, motors or hydraulic assemblies
Inspect parts, subassemblies, and finished products to ensure quality.
Take responsibility for working tools and to be accountable for it when requested
The Person Must Have:
Be organised and able to manage materials efficiently
Have a strong sense of responsibility and accountability
Possess good communication and teamwork skills
Be able to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
Qualifications
National Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or any technical related field
Experience:
Minimum of two (2) years' cognate experience preferably in a manufacturing, production or FMCG environment.
