Medical Laboratory Scientist at Changeroom

Key Responsibilities


Perform routine and specialized laboratory tests in areas such as hematology, clinical chemistry, microbiology, immunology, serology, and transfusion services.
Operate, calibrate, and maintain analytical instruments and laboratory equipment.
Validate test results and ensure precision, accuracy, and timeliness.
Collect, label, and process biological specimens following proper identification and handling protocols.
Ensure samples are stored and transported under optimal conditions to maintain integrity.
Conduct daily quality control checks on instruments and reagents.
Adhere to standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Participate in internal and external quality assurance programs.
Maintain confidentiality and comply with patient data protection regulations.
Follow established biosafety and infection control practices.
Handle and dispose of hazardous materials safely and responsibly.
Ensure compliance with all applicable laboratory and health regulations.
Collaborate with healthcare providers and interdisciplinary teams to support optimal patient care.
Engage in continuing education to stay current with advances in laboratory science and technology.


Qualifications and Skills


Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science.
Certification as a Medical Laboratory Scientist.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Proficiency with laboratory equipment and information systems.
