Key Responsibilities:
Collect, sort, and label patient specimens, including various types.
Carry out basic laboratory procedures, including slide preparation, staining, and routine tests.
Maintain a clean and organized laboratory environment, including cleaning test tubes, apparatus, and worktops.
Operate autoclaves to sterilize glassware and instruments.
Prepare, pack, and dispatch referral samples, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
Transport specimens from collection sites to the laboratory
Respond to inquiries from patients and health professionals, acting as the primary contact for result and specimen-related queries.
Print, sort, and distribute laboratory reports.
Enter patient details into the laboratory database and maintain records of equipmenttemperatures.
Explain laboratory procedures to patients clearly and concisely.
Organize and clean the reception area to ensure sterility and readiness.
Any other task as assigned to you by Senior Leadership
Requirements
Minimum of a Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Laboratory Science, Biology, Chemistry, or a related field
Basic knowledge of laboratory procedures and equipment
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Good analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Familiarity with safety standards and procedures
Preferred Skills
Experience working in a medical or research laboratory
Knowledge of laboratory software and data recording tools
Strong organizational and time management skills
