Experience:


Grade 1: None after registration as Medical Practitioner with the HPCSA in respect of SA-qualified employees. 1-year relevant experience after registration as Medical Practitioner with a recognised foreign Health Professional Council in respect of foreign-qualified employees, of whom it is not required to perform community service as required in South Africa. Grade 2: A minimum of 5 years' appropriate experience as Medical Practitioner after registration with the HPCSA as a Medical Practitioner in respect of SA-qualified employees. A minimum of 6 years' relevant experience after registration as Medical Practitioner with a recognised foreign Health Professional Council in respect of foreign-qualified employees, of whom it is not required to perform community service as required in South Africa. Grade 3: A minimum of 10 years' appropriate experience as a Medical Practitioner after registration with the HPCSA as a Medical Practitioner in respect of SA-qualified employees. A minimum of 11 years' relevant experience after registration as Medical Practitioner with a recognised foreign Health Professional Council in respect of foreign-qualified employees, of whom it is not required to perform community service as required in South Africa


Minimum Educational Qualification:


Appropriate qualification that allows registration with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA) as a Medical Practitioner.


Duties


District ophthalmology, including Worcester Hospital outreach service, and support to ecosystem. Referral to Specialists and other healthcare professionals to ensure continuation of care of patients. Facilitate and teach the informal programme to build the capacity of staff. Data and administrative duties to ensure the monitoring of progress and implementation.
