Key Responsibilities:
Design and Implementation On-Site:
Develop innovative MEP system designs that are tailored to project specifications while ensuring compliance with local building codes and standards.
Create and deliver detailed, accurate drawings and plans using advanced engineering software, such as AutoCAD and Revit, to visualize design concepts effectively.
Collaborate closely with architects, structural engineers, and other professionals to ensure cohesive execution of design across all phases of the project.
Project Management:
Lead the on-site implementation of MEP systems, ensuring adherence to design specifications, safety practices, and project timelines.
Strategically coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and procurement teams to guarantee the timely availability and quality of materials and resources.
Monitor project milestones and proactively address any technical issues or conflicts that may arise during the construction phase, ensuring a smooth workflow.
Quality Assurance:
Conduct thorough inspections and systematic testing of MEP systems to ensure their functionality, efficiency, and compliance with all relevant standards and regulations.
Identify potential system malfunctions through critical analysis and implement immediate corrective actions to maintain operational integrity.
Documentation:
Maintain comprehensive project documentation, which includes detailed reports, technical sketches, as-built drawings, and compliance records.
Collaboration and Communication:
Promote a collaborative environment by working closely with project managers, architects, and fellow engineers to ensure effective communication and teamwork.
Keep all team members informed regarding MEP-related developments, changes, and best practices to maintain project alignment.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering, or a closely related field.
A minimum of 6 to 10 years of proven experience as an MEP Engineer within the construction industry, with a successful track record of project delivery.
In-depth knowledge of MEP systems, building codes, safety standards, and industry best practices.
Proficiency in utilizing engineering design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit) and other tools for effective design and analysis.
Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills, with a demonstrated ability to think critically and adapt to evolving circumstances.
