Qualifying Criteria:
Grade 12 or equivalent NQF 4 qualification.
Trade Test : Boilermaker (preferably Section 13).
Minimum of 5-7 years' experience in metallurgical gold plant experience; trackless mining or industrialized environment.
Expert knowledge of gold plant engineering functions including but not limited to plant maintenance, conveyor belts, crushers, pumps, pipe developing, fitting and any other equipment within the gold plant
Proficient in English and any other of the 11 official languages.
Must be computer literate with emphasis on Excel and Word.
Independent judgement, initiative and interpersonal communication skills are required.
Sound knowledge of fabrication skills and ability to interpret engineering fabrication, construction drawings and erections.
Must have their own transport.
Must be a legal South African citizen.
Clear Criminal Record.
Responsibilities:
Work a rotation of shifts
Quality control, best practices and functional support within a Gold Plant, Engineering or Boilermaking section
Specialized knowledge to analyse and solve complex problems
Inspect, disassemble, re-assemble, construct and repair all components of boilermaker systems and associated mechanical equipment
Responsible for pipe developing and fitting thereof
Troubleshooting and detailed fault analysis
Compile and distribute reports
Manage and maintain in area of responsibility in accordance with prescribed standards and practices
Practice and adhere to metallurgical plant policies and procedures
Adhere to MHSA standards and Gold One safety motto "Nothing is so important that it cannot be done safely"
