Job Summary

The role involves specialized fitting, installation, and maintenance of milling equipment to ensure efficient cane crushing, reliable mechanical performance, and minimal downtime during operations.

Key Duties and Responsibilities


Install, align, maintain mill rollers, bearings, couplings, and gear systems.
Conduct routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and corrective repairs.
Support dismantling, overhauling, and reassembly of mill components during off-season.
Assist in achieving targeted crushing capacity (4000 TCD) by ensuring equipment reliability.
Monitor mill performance and recommend improvements for efficiency and sugar recovery.
Work closely with engineers and technicians during breakdowns and scheduled overhauls.
Adhere to safety protocols and ensure proper use of tools and protective equipment.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and spare parts usage.
Ensure compliance with environmental and regulatory standards.
Mentor and train local fitters and technicians in best practices.
Share technical expertise to build local capacity and strengthen the maintenance team.


Educational Qualification and Work Experience


Shall hold the minimum of O'level's
Any relevant certification.
Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role, preferable in a sugar mill or manufacturing environment.
