Miller Apprentice

This position is for a Miller Apprentice, requiring a National Senior Certificate or equivalent qualification (NQF Level 4) with Mathematics and Physical Science. The candidate should either be registered and completing modules for accreditation as a Miller or be interested in becoming accredited. Previous experience is an advantage, along with a valid RSA Driver’s License and own transport. Key skills include willingness to learn, problem-solving, adaptability, and attentiveness. The role involves assisting the Miller in daily tasks related to mill efficiency, machinery functionality, process and quality control, mill maintenance, people management, and safety standards (ISO22000).

As Miller Apprentice you will be responsible to assist the Miller in carrying out their day-to-day duties of achieving efficiency in the mill and ensuring optimal functionality of the milling machinery. Responsibilities during the apprenticeship will consist of process control, storage control, quality control, maintenance of the mill, people management and maintaining safety standards in relation to ISO22000.

• National Senior Certificate or Equivalent to NQF Level 4 with Mathematics and Physical Science as subjects.
• Either currently registered and in the process of completing modules or;
• Interested and willingly to qualify as an accredited Miller.
• Previously work experience will be advantageous.Valid RSA Driver’s License with own transport.
