Job Description
The MIS (Management Information Systems) Accountant is responsible for collecting, analyzing, and reporting financial and operational data to support management decision-making.
This role bridges accounting and data analysis by ensuring accurate reporting, developing dashboards, and providing actionable insights to improve business performance.
Responsibilities
Prepare and maintain periodic MIS reports (daily, weekly, monthly) for management review
Analyze financial data and identify trends, variances, and key performance indicators (KPIs)
Develop and maintain dashboards and reporting tools for business insights
Collaborate with finance and operational teams to ensure data accuracy and consistency
Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes
Reconcile data between accounting systems and MIS reports
Automate reporting processes to improve efficiency and reduce errors
Provide ad-hoc financial analysis and reports as requested by management
Ensure compliance with internal controls and reporting standards
Support audit processes by providing required data and documentation
Qualification and Experience
Candidates should possess a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field with 2-3 years experience
Professional certification e.g ICAN is an added advantage
