Job Description
The Modern Trade Sales Executive is responsible for managing and growing sales within modern trade channels such as supermarkets, hypermarkets, chain stores, and key accounts.
The role focuses on driving revenue growth, strengthening customer relationships, ensuring effective product distribution, and executing in-store promotions in line with company strategy.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and manage relationships with modern trade customers, including supermarkets and retail chains
Achieve assigned sales targets, volume growth, and market share objectives
Negotiate listings, pricing, promotions, and shelf space with key accounts
Ensure product availability, visibility, and correct merchandising across all assigned outlets
Execute trade marketing activities, promotions, and in-store activations
Monitor stock levels, prevent out-of-stock situations, and manage replenishment
Track competitor activities and provide market intelligence and sales reports
Coordinate with distributors, merchandisers, and internal teams to ensure smooth operations
Ensure compliance with company policies, trade agreements, and retail standards
Prepare regular sales forecasts, performance reports, and account reviews
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field
2 - 5 years of sales experience, preferably in modern trade or FMCG
Experience managing key accounts, supermarkets, or retail chains is an advantage
Knowledge of distribution networks and trade marketing practices.

Strong understanding of modern trade sales operations and key account management
Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship-management skills
Ability to analyze sales data, forecasts, and market trends
Strong execution skills with attention to detail in merchandising and promotions
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, sales reporting tools, and CRM systems
Ability to work independently and meet targets under pressure
Good problem-solving and decision-making skills
Strong planning, organization, and time-management abilities.
