The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and servicing a wide range of vehicles across multiple brands including Audi, BMW, Mercedes-Benz and Volkswagen.
Working hours are Monday to Thursday 07:30 - 17:00 and Friday 07:30 - 16:15. Overtime may be required. MIBCO contributions are compulsory for both employee and employer.
Responsibilities
Perform vehicle assessments and routine maintenance
Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults accurately
Repair and service vehicles across various makes and models
Assemble and install mechanical components according to specifications
Complete job cards accurately, including repairs and parts used
Ensure all critical components are checked and tested
Perform minor and major services
Carry out full overhauls of vehicle components
Requirements
Red Seal Trade Certificate - Motor Mechanic (Light Vehicles) (proof required)
Trade Test completed through MERSETA or an accredited institution
Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar role
Experience working on all makes and models, including Audi, BMW, Mercedes-Benz and Volkswagen
Experience on both petrol and light vehicle diesel systems (non-negotiable)
Valid South African driver's licence
Computer literate (diagnostic systems and workshop software)
Strong diagnostic and fault-finding ability
In-depth knowledge of vehicle mechanical systems and diagnostic equipment
High attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Physically and mentally fit
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
