Key Responsibilities
Understanding curriculum requirements and creating syllabi, lesson plans, and educational content that satisfy these requirements.
Teaching musical instruments like piano, guitar, and violin.
Helping students understand and read music notes and scales.
Training students for events, musical performances, and concerts.
Analysing the needs, strengths, and weaknesses of students and structuring lessons and assessments around them.
Adjusting teaching methods to suit different groups of learners.
Reporting any progress issues to the head of the department, as well as the parents
Keeping the line of communication open between students, staff, and parents,
Requirements
Degree in Music or related field
Relevant music teaching certifications may be required
Strong instrumental skills and knowledge of music theory
Patience, innovation, and effective classroom management skills
A completed teaching apprenticeship would be advantageous.
Familiarity with interactive teaching tools and 21st-century teaching methods ÃÂâÃÂÃÂÃÂàTRCN Certification is an added advantage.
