Job Summary


The Nail Technician provides clients with high-quality manicures, pedicures, nail extensions, and treatments.
The role involves building strong relationships with clients to encourage repeat visits, maintaining high sanitation standards, and keeping up with the latest nail care service.


Key Responsibilities


Provide high-quality nail services including manicures, pedicures, nail extensions, nail art, and gel/acrylic applications.
Remove old nail polish, clean nails, shape nails, push back cuticles, and apply polish according to client preferences.
Apply artificial nails and recommend nail designs or styles suited to the client's needs.
Evaluate the condition of clients' nails and recommend appropriate treatments and aftercare. Hygiene & Safety.
Sanitize all nail tools, instruments, and equipment before each use.
Maintain a clean, organized, and hygienic workstation at all times.
Ensure that salon hygiene standards and safety regulations are strictly followed.
Greet clients warmly, communicate effectively, and provide professional advice on nail care.
Maintain open communication during the service to ensure client comfort and satisfaction.
Address customer concerns promptly and escalate complaints to the Salon Manager when necessary.
Upsell and cross-sell nail care products and additional services.
Monitor stock levels of nail supplies and request replenishment when needed.
Handle salon products and tools carefully to minimize waste.
Uphold salon standards in appearance, hygiene, and etiquette.
Adhere to appointment schedules and manage time effectively.
Stay updated with industry trends, techniques, and new products.
Communicate areas of concern to the Salon Manager promptly.
Collaborate with other salon team members to ensure smooth daily operations.
Avoid unrelated discussions, horseplay, and personal phone use while attending to clients.


Requirements


Minimum of SSCE or equivalent qualification; professional nail technician certification is an added advantage.
At least 2 years of proven experience as a nail technician in a salon or spa setting.
Knowledge of nail care techniques, designs and hygiene protocols.
Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
Creativity, attention to detail and a passion for beauty and wellness.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple clients.
Willingness to work flexible shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
