We are currently looking for a qualified and dedicated candidate to fill the following open position.

Overall Responsibility
To provide specialized nursing care to patients with kidney-related conditions, including those undergoing dialysis, by ensuring safe and effective delivery of renal therapies, monitoring patient progress, maintaining infection control standards, and promoting patient education and well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare, initiate, monitor, and terminate dialysis treatment for patients as per prescribed protocols.
Assess and document patients' pre-, intra-, and post-dialysis conditions, including vital signs and fluid balance.
Administer prescribed medications and therapies related to renal care.
Respond promptly to dialysis-related complications and emergencies such as hypotension, clotting, or access issues.
Ensure correct setup, priming, and maintenance of dialysis machines and water treatment systems.
Monitor vascular access patency and maintain aseptic techniques during cannulation and disconnection.
Support physicians during nephrology procedures and patient reviews.
Maintain accurate and detailed nursing documentation and treatment records.
Educate patients and families on renal health, dialysis treatment, dietary management, and lifestyle modifications.
Adhere to infection prevention and control standards within the renal unit.
Participate in quality improvement initiatives, audits, and morbidity and mortality reviews.
Job Qualifications & Skills
Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Nursing from a recognized institution.
Higher Diploma in Nephrology Nursing from a recognized training institution
Registered and licensed by the Nursing Council of Kenya.
Minimum of 2 years' clinical nursing experience, with at least 1 year in a renal or critical care setting preferred.
BLS and ACLS certification will be an added advantage.
Proficiency in dialysis procedures and machine operation.
