Responsibilities
Plan, coordinate, and supervise daily news production for TV and Radio.
Edit and approve news scripts to ensure accuracy, clarity, and balance.
Assign stories to reporters and monitor news coverage.
Ensure all news content complies with editorial policies and broadcasting regulations.
Work closely with producers, reporters, and newscasters to deliver quality news programs.
Monitor breaking news and guide the newsroom on timely coverage.
Maintain high standards of journalistic ethics and credibility.
Oversee news bulletins, special reports, and investigative stories.
Requirements
Minimum of BSc/HND in Mass Communication, Journalism, or related field.
3 - 5 years experience in journalism or newsroom operations, preferably in TV or radio broadcasting.
Strong editing and news judgment skills.
Excellent command of written and spoken English.
Good understanding of broadcast newsroom workflow.
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
