Job Purpose
The Clinic Nurse is responsible for providing primary healthcare services, first aid treatment, health education, and emergency response support to employees within the company clinic. The role focuses on managing minor illnesses and workplace injuries, maintaining medical records, and coordinating referrals to hospitals for serious medical conditions.
Key Responsibilities
Provide first aid and basic medical care to employees suffering from minor illnesses, injuries, and work-related incidents.
Assess patients' conditions, administer prescribed medications, and monitor treatment progress.
Identify serious medical conditions and arrange timely referrals and transportation to designated hospitals.
Maintain accurate and confidential medical records for all clinic visits and treatments.
Conduct routine health screenings, including blood pressure, temperature, and other basic health assessments.
Monitor and maintain adequate stock levels of medicines, medical supplies, and first aid equipment.
Ensure proper storage and management of medicines and medical equipment in the clinic.
Support occupational health and safety initiatives and participate in workplace health promotion programs.
Assist in managing workplace emergencies and coordinate emergency response activities.
Provide health education and wellness guidance to employees on disease prevention, hygiene, nutrition, and healthy living.
Prepare monthly clinic reports, treatment statistics, and medical supply inventory reports.
Ensure compliance with nursing regulations, company policies, and occupational health and safety standards.
Coordinate employee medical examinations and follow-up care when required.
Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and proper organization of the company clinic.
Qualifications and Requirements
Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing from a recognized institution.
Registered Nurse with a valid practicing license from the Nursing Council of Kenya.
Valid First Aid and Basic Life Support.
Minimum of 2 years' experience in a clinic, hospital, industrial, or occupational health setting.
Knowledge of occupational health and workplace safety practices is an added advantage.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and medical record management.
