Purpose
To lead the development and delivery of nursing education, competency assessment, clinical training, and professional development programmes that strengthen nursing practice and patient safety.
Job Description
Develop and deliver structured clinical training and competency-based programmes for nursing staff.
Conduct skills assessments, clinical competency evaluations, orientation, and continuing professional development activities.
Identify nursing knowledge and competency gaps and develop targeted interventions.
Develop and review clinical guidelines, training materials, and educational resources.
Support accreditation, clinical audits, quality improvement, and evidence-based nursing practice across the hospital.
Key Requirements
Registered Nurse with relevant Bachelor's/Master's degree and recognised nursing education qualification.
Minimum 5 years' clinical nursing experience, with substantial experience in nursing education or clinical leadership.
Proven experience developing and facilitating clinical training programmes.
Strong knowledge of evidence-based practice, patient safety, clinical governance, and competency assessment.
Excellent teaching, mentoring, communication, and leadership skills.
