OVERALL RESPONSIBILITY
Reporting to the Hospital Nutritionist, the successful candidate will ensure quality, efficient and timely therapeutic interventions to patients in collaboration with the caregivers in order to avert malnutrition, maintain good nutritional status, enhance recovery and prevent complications that would result due to poor nutrition.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Screening of patients' nutritional needs
Giving nutrition education/counseling
Giving the necessary therapeutic interventions
Guiding the other clinical team on the plan of care and how to go about it.
Educating catering staff on preparation and service of therapeutic diets.
The requirements
Bachelor of Science in Nutrition and Dietetics from a recognized institution.
Two (2) years' working experience in a similar position.
Registered and licensed by the KNDI.
Member of professional body.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
