Key Responsibilities

Communications Support


Assist in drafting, editing, and publishing content across channels (website, newsletters, social media).
Ensure regular content publication on the website, coordinating closely with IT/web maintenance teams for technical support and updates.
Support campaign planning and internal communications initiatives.
Coordinate production of visual and multimedia assets with designers or agencies.


Annual Report Support


Collect data and information from internal teams for the annual report.
Lead the editing and drafting process to ensure clarity and alignment with organizational messaging.
Oversee the design phase in collaboration with external consultants, ensuring timely delivery and quality presentation.


Knowledge Management


Maintain the communications drive, shared folders, and databases.
Document processes, templates, and style guides.
Support onboarding of new communications staff or contributors.
Keep a roster/database of consultants for design, translation, and other communications support services.
Organize capacity building or selected CIVIC staff in communications.


Operations & Coordination


Liaise with external service providers (designers, translators, consultants).
Track deliverables, invoices, and contracts.
Support logistical arrangements for events and communications projects.


Administrative Support


Manage communications calendars, mailing lists, and reporting timelines.
Prepare briefings, dashboards, and updates for internal reporting.5


Skills & Qualifications


Bachelor's degree in communications, international relations, or related field.
At least 5 years of relevant experience, ideally in a non-profit or NGO context.
Strong organizational, writing, and coordination skills.
Proficiency with CMS, basic design tools (Canva, Adobe Express), and collaboration platforms (SharePoint, Asana, etc.).
Fluency in English; additional languages are an asset.
