Operation & Business Development Officer at Xaji Gate Service limited - Operation & Business Development Officer

Xaji Gate Services Ltd is seeking a proactive, organised and commercially minded Operations & Business Development Officer to support the day-to-day running of the company and its growing business activities.
The successful candidate will help coordinate operations, follow up on projects, communicate with clients and business partners, carry out research, prepare business documents and support the management team in developing new opportunities.


Key Responsibilities:


Coordinate daily business operations and ensure tasks are completed on time.
Follow up with clients, suppliers, partners and service providers.
Research new business opportunities and potential partnerships.
Support business development activities in Kenya, Somalia and other markets.
Prepare professional emails, reports, proposals and presentations.
Maintain organised company records and digital files.
Coordinate meetings and follow up on agreed action points.
Make professional phone calls and communicate with external organisations.
Assist management with new projects and business initiatives.
Track deadlines and provide regular progress updates.
Handle assigned responsibilities independently and take initiative when required.
Support fintech, investment and other business projects being developed by the company.


Requirements:


Diploma or Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Marketing, IT, Project Management or a related field.
At least 1 - 2 years of relevant experience in operations, administration, business development or a similar role.
Strong written and spoken English.
Good Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and email skills.
Strong research, communication and problem-solving skills.
Highly organised with excellent attention to detail.
Able to manage several tasks at the same time.
Professional, trustworthy and able to handle confidential information.
Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
Interest or experience in fintech, financial services, investments, real estate or international business would be an advantage.
We are particularly interested in someone who can take ownership of responsibilities, solve problems, follow up without constant supervision and help management move projects forward.
