Job Summary:
The Operations and Compliance Coordinator will oversee NADA's operations and lead the Finance and Procurement/Logistics departments. The role ensures sound financial management, efficient supply chain and logistics systems, and full compliance with donor and regulatory requirements, keeping the organization audit-ready at all times.
Key Responsibilities:
Operations and Compliance
Coordinate daily office and program operations, ensuring efficient workflows and timely support to program teams
Ensure compliance with donor requirements, grant agreements, Nigerian regulations and NADA policies
Develop, review, and enforce policies, SOPs, and internal controls across all departments
Conduct periodic compliance checks and risk reviews; report gaps with corrective action plans
Coordinate with external auditors, regulators, donors and partners, and lead audit preparation and responses
Maintain accurate records and audit-ready documentation; track contracts, agreements and reporting deadlines
Finance
Supervise the finance team and oversee day-to-day financial management, bookkeeping and accounting records
Oversee budgeting, budget monitoring and expenditure control in line with donor budgets and rules
Review payment requests, payroll, cash and bank management, and ensure proper approvals and supporting documents
Ensure timely and accurate financial reports for management, the board and donors
Support grant financial management, including budget-versus-actual analysis and donor financial reporting
Procurement and Logistics
Supervise the procurement and logistics team and ensure procurement follows donor rules and NADA procurement policy
Oversee vendor selection, contracting, deliveries and goods-received processes
Oversee transport and fleet operations, inventory, warehousing and the asset register
Coordinate logistics for program activities, field visits, trainings and events
Leadership
Supervise, mentor and appraise department staff, and train staff on policies, SOPs and compliance standards
Support safeguarding, anti-fraud, anti-corruption and conflict-of-interest practices across the organisation
Prepare consolidated operational, financial and compliance reports for senior management and donors
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Public Administration, Logistics and Supply Chain Management or a related field; a Master's degree is an added advantage
5 - 7 years' progressive experience in operations, finance, procurement or compliance, including at least 2 years in a supervisory role, preferably in an NGO or development setting
Strong knowledge of donor financial, procurement and compliance standards (e.g. NHF, USAID, FCDO, EU, UN agencies and INGOs)
Proven experience in budget management, financial reporting and internal controls
Good knowledge of accounting software and strong Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel
Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills
High integrity, attention to detail and ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
Added Advantage
Professional certification in accounting, compliance, procurement or project management (e.g. ICAN, ANAN, ACCA, CIPS, PMP)
Experience managing donor-funded projects and audits
Willingness to travel to project locations when required
