Operations Associate Job Description
Reports to
Two principals. The partner managing short stay rental operations for day to day property work and the founder of the broader venture group for cross business work
Location Nairobi hybrid field and remote
Start Date Monday May 4 2026
Type Full time with a 6 month probation period and 30 60 90 day reviews
Compensation KES 25000 to 35000 per month gross based on experience plus airtime and reimbursable work related transport
About the Role
We are a small Nairobi based group of ventures covering short stay rentals, tech consulting, a classified marketplace and a farming and land business
This role sits across all of them and is designed to fill the gaps between people, projects and operations
The role is split into two main parts
Short stay rental operations about 20 hours per week
You will support the partner managing the rental portfolio. This includes coordinating cleaners and caretakers, conducting unit inspections, maintaining supplies and standards and handling booking platform administration
Cross venture execution about 20 hours per week
You will support the founder on project execution across multiple ventures including land sales, stock clearance, marketplace listings and general administrative support

Core Capabilities Required
Short stay rental operations people places and standards
You can walk into a furnished rental and quickly identify issues with cleaning, supplies, damages and presentation
You can coordinate cleaners and caretakers in both Swahili and English without conflict
You are comfortable using WhatsApp calls and basic tools for coordination
You understand urgency around guest check ins and unit readiness
You can learn or already use booking platform tools such as listing updates, rate changes and review responses
Project execution consistency and follow through
You can take a weekly brief and execute it without needing repeated reminders
You can handle tasks such as broker follow ups, tracking conversations and reporting progress
You can support simple campaign execution by coordinating creatives, posting, tracking and reporting
You can take unclear tasks and drive them to completion
You can read a short brief and write a clear summary
You follow through consistently and do not need to be told twice
Cross business administration organisation and discipline
You can manage multiple small tasks at the same time without losing track
You keep notes, log actions and follow up
You are comfortable using spreadsheets accounting tools and basic systems or can learn quickly
You can work independently without constant supervision
Who You Are
You have between 2 to 5 years of experience in property management, hospitality, executive assistance, small business administration or operations
You may have worked in short stay rentals, hotels, real estate, startups or accounting firms
You have basic familiarity with QuickBooks or similar tools
You write clearly in English and speak Swahili comfortably
You know Nairobi well
You are looking for a role with responsibility, autonomy and hands on work
Non Negotiable Requirements
You are based in Nairobi
You have a valid driving license with at least 3 years of driving experience
A motorcycle license is an added advantage
You are comfortable speaking Swahili and writing professional English
You are comfortable using WhatsApp for work coordination
You are comfortable being measured on outcomes rather than hours
You are available to start on Monday May 4 2026
