Role Description


This is a full-time, on-site role for an Operations Manager based in Lagos State, Nigeria. As the Operations Manager Nigeria (Import and Export) you are responsible for providing seamless operational excellence for our clients from origin to destination collaborating across our branches (Onne, Kano and Lagos). This role requires excellent hands-on skill in coordinating operational processes to maintain optimum service rendered across our branches.


Principal Duties and Responsibilities


Set up processes and procedures (SOP) for Export and Import operations.
Ensure (SOP) is reviewed and updated when necessary.
Ensure 100% compliance of (SOP'S) across our offices.
Effective monitoring of operational freight forwarding activities across our offices nationwide by providing.
Daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports are shared with the Country Manager on freight forwarding activities nationwide.
Ensure process improvement to achieve operational excellence.
Achieve KPIs seamlessly.
Training and development of team members for career growth.
Provide input/suggestions into new processes that can be utilized with the power of technology to differentiate OnePort 365 Operations from the rest of the market.
Ensures OnePort 365 licenses are extended across all operating terminals/shipping lines and be able to transact with a host of relevant vendors within the logistics and supply chain industry.
Ensure total team ownership of operational tasks and responsibilities.
Working hand in hand with teams across the organization for excellent service delivery.
Streamlining processes and managing trucking, barging and rail operations for effective inland logistics operations.

Experience and Qualifications


Bachelor's degree in administration or any other related discipline. Master degree will be an added advantage.
Minimum of 10 years of experience in operations (Port Operations) with 3+ years in managerial
position and a proven record of success.
Deep understanding of the Nigerian freight forwarding industry is an added advantage.
