KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide specialized nursing care to patients with eye conditions in clinic and procedural areas
Assist ophthalmologists during diagnostic and minor surgical procedures (e.g., slit lamp exams, visual field tests, intravitreal injections)
Prepare patients for ophthalmic procedures, including pre- and post-operative care
Conduct and document visual acuity assessments and basic eye examinations
Administer ophthalmic medications and monitor patient response
Educate patients and families on eye care, treatment plans, and medication use
Maintain infection prevention and control standards in all procedures.
Ensure proper handling and maintenance of ophthalmic equipment.
Participate in quality improvement initiatives and Continuing Nursing Education (CNE) activities.
Assist ophthalmologists during eye examinations and surgical procedures
REQUIREMENTS
Diploma in KRN, KRCHN, or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN) from a recognized institution.
Higher Diploma in Ophthalmic Care Nursing or any other certification in Ophthalmic Nursing Care will be an advantage.
Valid Nursing practice license
At least 3 years acute care hospital working experience.
Minimum 1-year clinical experience eye care clinic.
Excellent interpersonal, organizational, communication, administrative & customer care skills.
