Duties and Responsibilities
UNEP's Communication Division is looking for a dynamic self-starter to support outreach and engagement for key campaigns and editorial content.
Under the supervision of the Head Writer, the consultant will be responsible for the effective and efficient performance of the following duties:
Identify and support recruitment of influencers for World Environment Day and related campaigns to maximize the reach, engagement and targeted outreach;
Produce multimedia content in support of UNEP campaigns;
Develop partnership for UNEP campaigns;
Identify opportunities for UNEP's science and content; and
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications/special skills
Bachelor's degree in journalism, communication, social sciences or other related field is required.
Minimum 3 years required experience Excellent knowledge of social media and how to use it for strategic communication is required Excellent knowledge of media landscape and pitching strategy is required Excellent organisational and planning skills.
Proven ability to multitask and work successfully in a fast-paced environment, delivering desired results on deadline is required
Excellent written, verbal, and visual communication skills is required Ability to work effectively with a multidisciplinary and multicultural team is desirable
Proven ability to generate innovative solutions is desirable
