Job Purpose
To ensure the safe, accurate and timely receipt, storage, movement and issuing of materials to production, while maintaining stock accuracy and complying with company, Quality Control, health and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
Receive, load and offload materials and trucks safely and efficiently.
Operate forklifts and other authorized material-handling equipment.
Issue materials accurately and on time to production according to requirements.
Ensure materials are correctly identified, handled and stored.
Conduct stock counts, cycle counts and assist with stocktaking activities.
Maintain accurate stock records and report stock variances or discrepancies.
Ensure materials issued to production meet required QC standards and specifications.
Comply with all health, safety, environmental and quality procedures.
Maintain good housekeeping and 5S standards within the warehouse.
Complete relevant warehouse documentation and system transactions accurately.
Report damaged, missing, incorrect or non-conforming materials to the relevant supervisor.
Support efficient warehouse operations and ensure continuous material availability to production.
Minimum Requirements
Grade 12 / Matric.
Valid Forklift License / Certificate.
Minimum 2 years' experience in warehouse operations and forklift driving.
Experience in material issuing, stock counting, loading and offloading of trucks.
Basic understanding of warehouse, quality and safety procedures.
Good communication, numerical and organizational skills.
Attention to detail and commitment to stock accuracy.
Ability to work effectively in a team and under pressure.
Willingness and ability to work shifts, including day/night shifts.
Willingness to work overtime, weekends and public holidays when operationally required.
