MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Relevant tertiary qualification in Operations Management, Production or Agriculture (advantageous)
Minimum 3-5 years' experience in a packhouse / production / operations role (strawberries).
Proven experience managing teams
Strong understanding of food safety, cold chain management, and HACCP principles
Excellent leadership, organisational, and communication skills
Computer literate (Excel and Outlook)
Valid driver's license
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO
Oversee the daily operations of the packhouse, ensuring targets are achieved
Manage and motivate employees across the packing, quality control, and dispatch functions
Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and quality standards at all times.
Manage production schedules and coordinate workflow to optimise efficiency
Manage inventory levels and reduce waste while maintaining product freshness
Implement and maintain systems for tracking output, labour, and performance metrics
Work closely with logistics, procurement, and production teams to ensure on-time delivery
Identify and drive opportunities for continuous improvement in productivity and processes.
