Role Overview
The Partnerships Development & Fundraising Intern will support Wale Lab in identifying strategic partners, sponsors, collaborators, and funding opportunities that align with our mission and programs.
This role is ideal for someone interested in partnerships, communications, fundraising, organizational growth, and ecosystem building.
Key Responsibilities
Research and identify potential partners, sponsors, donors, grant opportunities, and collaborators aligned with Wale Lab's vision
Support outreach efforts through emails, LinkedIn communication, proposals, and follow-ups
Assist in preparing partnership proposals, sponsorship decks, and fundraising materials
Maintain organized records of outreach activities, partnership pipelines, and engagement updates
Support relationship management with existing and prospective partners
Assist in coordinating partnership meetings, webinars, events, and collaboration initiatives
Conduct background research on organizations to strengthen outreach strategy and alignment
Support fundraising and sustainability initiatives for Wale Lab programs and projects
Required Qualifications & Skills
Strong communication and relationship-building skills
Good writing and presentation ability
Organized, proactive, and detail-oriented
Ability to conduct effective online research
Comfortable using Google Workspace, spreadsheets, and communication tools
Interest in partnerships, fundraising, innovation ecosystems, or organizational growth
Ability to work independently in a remote environment
