Hours – Full time – 12 Months Fixed Term Contract

Transform Trade (Formally known as Traidcraft) works for trade and climate justice. We are looking for a Partnerships and Programme Funding Coordinator to drive institutional fundraising for our international programmes. This role is responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with donors, identifying new funding opportunities, and coordinating the end-to-end development of proposals and presentations that align with our organisational strategy. You will work closely with teams across the organisation to ensure projects are compelling, technically robust, and fully costed, while supporting timely donor reporting and relationship management.

The ideal candidate has proven experience in international development and excels at producing high-quality funding proposals efficiently and consistently. You are able to translate project ideas into persuasive applications, manage complex budgets, and respond rapidly to donor queries. You thrive in a fast-paced environment, are highly organised, and can balance multiple funding streams while ensuring all proposals meet strategic and quality standards.

Role: Partnerships and Programme Funding Coordinator

Purpose:

To build and maintain relationships with institutional donors. To create and identify opportunities for funding and coordinate end to end proposal development.

Accountabilities:

  • Support the implementation of the institutional funding strategy, including the stakeholder engagement strategy
  • Experience of working in international development/ in an international charity setting
  • Work with relevant teams to develop compelling and impactful projects
  • Lead on the development, coordination and submission of proposals and presentations in line with the organisational strategy
  • Ability to develop and work with technical proposals and complex
  • project budgets
  • Specifically attract new partnerships and secure commitment of funds
  • both from partners in the UK and internationally
  • Work with country teams to respond to donor queries and revise
  • proposals and reports as required
  • Build and manage relationships with colleagues, funders, and
  • influencers to support portfolios of work
  • support the timely development and submission of donor reports in line with donor contract requirements
  • Promote effective and efficient working practices, teamwork, and
  • collaboration across teams/functions.
  • Carry out other duties, which may or may not be related to the job, as
  • reasonably requested by colleagues

You will be:

  • An experienced, dynamic and skilled fundraiser with proven track record of fundraising
  • A self-starter, who can work proactively towards the team’s shared goals
  • A detail person skilled at prospect research and persuasive writing, with the ability to liaise confidently, persuasively and diplomatically with donors and colleagues.
  • Someone who can work independently, creatively and flexibly.
  • Someone who can engage with colleagues to decide how to work together and how to succeed.

  • Demonstrable recent and relevant institutional fundraising experience, ideally upwards of 3 years
  • A proven track record of securing significant new business
  • A proven track record developing, maintaining and growing a
  • healthy portfolio of funders
  • Effective networking and communication abilities
  • Excellent organisation, research and planning skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • The ability to prioritise tasks and manage time effectively
  • A team-player approach – making decisions for the best of the
  • organisation rather than for individual or section targets
  • High level of computer literacy
  • A degree in international development or a relevant field
  • Personal commitment to justice and fairness

You may have:

  • Raiser’s Edge experience
  • Experience of overseas work or travel in low or middle income countries
  • Technical background in agriculture or garment livelihoods
