This role entails evaluating complex medical cases, interpreting clinical data, and providing expert guidance on patient care strategies, regulatory compliance, and health policy. It also includes supervising and mentoring the clinical practice of other healthcare professionals within their area of expertise.
Master of Medicine in the required field
Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB or MBBS)
At least two (2) years of postgraduate work experience or evidence of being under supervision by a senior specialist
Registered as a specialist and with a valid license from the Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentists Council
Certificate in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
Knowledge of healthcare policies, documentation, and reporting procedures.
Proficiency in computer skills (especially Health Management Information Systems).
Desirable competencies
Strong clinical decision-making and patient management skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Knowledge of the laws of Kenya, regulations, guidelines, and health schemes.
Excellent report writing skills.
Deep understanding of clinical workflows, healthcare systems, or regulatory environments.
Ability to communicate complex medical concepts clearly to non-clinical stakeholders.
Experience in healthcare consulting, clinical audits, data analysis, or policy advisory is an added advantage.
