Job Summary
The Performance Marketing Manager will lead and oversee the strategy, execution, and optimization of digital and performance marketing campaigns across multiple channels. This leadership role involves managing cross-functional collaboration, mentoring junior team members, and ensuring all marketing initiatives are aligned with the organization's goals for user acquisition, engagement, and revenue growth.
The manager will also spearhead the integration of digital marketing with CRM systems, oversee content strategy, and leverage data-driven insights to guide decision-making and team performance.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Team Management
Lead, mentor, and develop the digital marketing team (associates, content creators, and external vendors) to ensure high performance and professional growth.
Establish clear KPIs for digital marketing campaigns and monitor team performance against these metrics.
Coordinate cross-department efforts between product, sales, and creative teams to ensure alignment and resource efficiency.
Foster a culture of continuous learning, testing, and innovation in digital marketing practices.
Strategic Performance & Paid Marketing Oversight
Design and manage multi-channel performance marketing strategies (Google Ads, Meta, LinkedIn, Twitter, and others) to achieve admissions and revenue objectives.
Oversee the development of ad creatives, landing pages, and content in collaboration with the creative and product marketing teams.
Monitor, analyze, and present detailed campaign performance dashboards to senior leadership with actionable insights.
Manage advertising budgets across platforms, ensuring optimal allocation for maximum ROI.
Maintain a Paid Media Playbook with updated strategies and lessons learned from experiments and A/B tests.
Content & Calendar Management
Lead the creation of an integrated content marketing strategy aligned with brand and business goals.
Oversee the Moringa School Content Calendar, ensuring timely and relevant digital content across paid, earned, and owned channels.
Approve high-level campaign messaging, visuals, and copy for consistency and impact.
Stay ahead of digital trends to introduce innovative content approaches.
SEO & Digital Optimization
Direct the implementation of SEO strategies to drive organic traffic and improve search visibility.
Supervise keyword research, technical SEO audits, and optimization of web content in collaboration with the product team.
Ensure SEO best practices are integrated across all digital campaigns and website enhancements.
CRM & Conversion Funnel Leadership
Oversee the implementation of marketing automation workflows and CRM integrations.
Ensure the team tracks conversions and lead behaviors, addressing funnel drop-offs with targeted re-engagement campaigns.
Drive alignment between marketing and admissions teams to maintain a seamless lead-to-conversion journey.
Copywriting & Campaign Storytelling
Provide strategic direction for copywriting across email, display ads, and landing pages.
Lead the development of brand-aligned messaging to elevate Moringa's positioning in the market.
About You
Desired Skills & Leadership Qualities:
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field.
5+ years of experience in digital and performance marketing, with at least 2+ years in a managerial or team-lead role.
Proven ability to lead, mentor, and motivate teams, driving accountability and measurable results.
Expertise in managing multi-channel marketing strategies and budgets.
Strong analytical mindset with the ability to communicate complex data into actionable strategies for senior leadership.
Excellent project management skills, with experience leading cross-functional initiatives.
Advanced knowledge of SEO, CRM, email automation, and performance marketing platforms.
Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution.
