Role Summary


The Commercial & Sales Lead is a strategic executive responsible for driving revenue growth, building a high-performance sales organization, and leading the commercial transformation of the business.
This role requires a hands-on leader to execute national sales strategies, expand distribution, penetrate key accounts, and build strong brand visibility.
The position carries full accountability for revenue, team leadership, and overall commercial success.


Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership:


Develop and execute commercial and sales strategy.
Drive growth initiatives and expansion plans.
Establish sales targets and performance frameworks.


Revenue Growth & Channel Development:


Build and manage a national distribution network.
Secure institutional and key accounts.
Expand wholesale and retail channels.
Drive product availability across markets.


Team Building & Performance Management:


Recruit, train, and lead the sales team.
Set KPIs and incentive structures.
Conduct performance reviews.
Foster a strong accountability and results-driven culture.


Commercial Operations:


Implement CRM systems and sales processes.
Develop forecasting and reporting structures.
Optimize pricing strategies.
Ensure consistent performance tracking.


Marketing & Brand Development:


Execute marketing strategies to support sales.
Drive brand visibility and market presence.
Support product positioning and go-to-market initiatives.


Cross-Functional Collaboration:


Work closely with Finance, Operations, and Regulatory teams.
Align supply and demand effectively.
Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements.


Qualifications & Experience


Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, or a related field (MBA preferred).
Minimum of 15 years commercial experience, with at least 8 years in sales leadership roles.
Proven track record of scaling revenue and building high-performing teams.
Strong experience in distribution networks and key account management.
Deep understanding of the Nigerian market landscape.
