Job Description
The Pharmacy Technician is responsible for assisting in the preparation, dispensing, and management of medications under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist within KTHSMB healthcare facilities.
The role involves handling prescriptions, maintaining accurate records, managing drug inventory, and ensuring proper storage and handling of pharmaceutical products.
The technician will support efficient pharmacy operations while ensuring compliance with healthcare standards, safety protocols, and regulatory guidelines.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in dispensing medications under pharmacist supervision.
Receive, process, and verify prescription orders.
Prepare, package, and label medications accurately.
Maintain and update pharmacy records and documentation.
Monitor inventory levels and report stock shortages or expiries.
Ensure proper storage and handling of pharmaceutical products.
Assist in basic drug compounding and preparation.
Support inventory control and stock management processes.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pharmacy.
Assist in providing basic information to patients under supervision.
Requirements & Qualifications
Diploma or certificate in Pharmacy Technician or related field.
Basic knowledge of pharmaceutical procedures.
Good attention to detail and accuracy.
Strong organizational skills.
Relevant experience.
