Role Requirements


To succeed in this role, you bring a solid foundation in clinical practice supported by a relevant Nursing qualification, along with registration as a Registered Nurse with SANC or as a Phlebotomy Technician with the HPCSA. Your passion for developing others is further strengthened by Train‑the‑Trainer and Assessor certifications. If not already completed, these certifications will form part of your development journey upon appointment. Your expertise allows you to empower employees with accurate, practical knowledge, while providing assurance that the training delivered meets professional and ethical standards.
Your experience includes four or more years of hands‑on Phlebotomy within a Pathology environment, giving you a rich understanding of both the technical and human aspects of the profession. This background equips you to offer relevant insights, build trust with learners, and connect classroom principles to real‑world expectations. It also positions you to support both new and experienced team members in navigating the demands of a high‑performance environment while maintaining compassion, accuracy, and service excellence.
You will also need to have a valid South African drivers license: Code B.


Skill Requirements


In this role, your strength lies in combining technical expertise with the ability to engage people effectively. You have a strong command of phlebotomy procedures, understand the relevant scopes of practice, and are familiar with the OSH Act. You draw on a variety of teaching approaches to design meaningful learning experiences, and you use systems like Meditech and MS Office with confidence to enhance your programmes.
Your communication style is clear, engaging, and supportive, whether you are speaking to a group, preparing material, or offering individual feedback. You listen actively, facilitate discussions with ease, and confidently guide learners through both simple and complex concepts. Your organisational abilities enable you to coordinate schedules, content, and logistics seamlessly. A sound understanding of operational dynamics and customer expectations helps you anchor your training in what truly matters for service excellence and business success.
