Job Responsibilities:
Provide high-quality medical care and administrative support at the BOSC Clinic in accordance with applicable medical protocols and policies.
Perform physical examinations, review patient medical histories, and assess, diagnose, and treat a range of acute and chronic conditions.
Prescribe and manage medications and therapies within the scope of practice and applicable guidelines.
Assist in the management of public health programs, prevention initiatives, and health education for clinic patients.
Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare team members to create and implement effective treatment plans.
Educate patients on disease prevention, lifestyle improvement, and general wellness recommendations.
Provide emergency medical care and trauma stabilization during critical incidents.
Order, interpret, and analyze diagnostic tests, including laboratory and imaging results, to create informed diagnoses.
Maintain accurate and confidential documentation of patient care, medical histories, and treatment plans utilizing electronic health records systems (EHRs).
Assist with the overall planning, management, and improvement of clinical operations and services as needed.
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor's degree (or higher) and graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant program.
Current and valid certification/licensure as a Physician Assistant (PA-C) in accordance with U.S. standards.
1-3 years of experience in providing direct patient care as a Physician Assistant in a clinical or military healthcare setting.
Proficiency in the diagnosis, treatment, and management of acute and chronic medical conditions.
Certified in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
Strong ability to effectively communicate with patients, colleagues, and leadership both verbally and in written form. English proficiency is required.
Must be in possession of a valid passport and be able to travel internationally.
Passport should be valid for a minimum of one (1) year or more at the time of hiring.
Ability to successfully pass contract medical requirements and maintain requirements for the duration of deployment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Prior experience in an austere OCONUS (Outside the Continental United States) environment with a multi-national workforce is preferred.
Valid country driver's license and passport.
Country visa (as required in line with the U.S. Department of State Foreign Clearance Guide).
Experience in military healthcare programs or Department of Defense (DoD) clinic operations.
Familiarity with managing occupational health programs and certifications for work-related care services.
Strong crisis management or emergency response experience in trauma stabilization or life-saving interventions.
High proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems for maintaining accurate and compliant medical documentation.
