Job Summary
Our client is seeking a passionate, knowledgeable, and student-focused Physics Teacher to join our academic team.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for teaching Senior Secondary School students, preparing them for internal and external examinations, and fostering a strong understanding of physics concepts through engaging and simplified teaching methods.
Key Responsibilities
Teach Physics to Senior Secondary School students in line with the approved curriculum.
Prepare lesson plans, schemes of work, and instructional materials.
Simplify complex physics concepts to enhance students' understanding.
Conduct practical experiments and demonstrations where applicable.
Prepare students for WAEC, NECO, and other external examinations.
Assess and evaluate students' academic performance regularly.
Provide extra lessons when necessary (based on student availability).
Maintain accurate academic records and reports.
Foster a positive, disciplined, and supportive classroom environment.
Identify students' learning needs and provide tailored support.
Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and school activities.
Requirements & Qualifications
HND or B.Sc. in Education (Physics) or a related discipline.
Minimum of 3 years' experience teaching Physics at the Senior Secondary level.
Strong mastery of physics concepts and practical application.
Experience preparing students for WAEC/NECO is an added advantage.
Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
Ability to simplify complex topics for diverse learners.
Teachable, adaptable, and open to continuous improvement.
Attentive to students' academic and emotional needs.
Good moral character and professional conduct.
Punctual, reliable, and well-organized.
Ability to work collaboratively.
