Job Purpose
To ensure provision of quality physiotherapy services to helping patients affected by injury, illness or disability through movement and exercise. manual therapy, education and advice.
Duties And Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and evaluations in line with approved clinical standards.
Administer a full range of physiotherapy treatment techniques.
Develop, implement, and review individualised treatment programmes using exercise, movement, and range of motion techniques. Monitor patient progress and report outcomes to referring physicians.
Collaborate with ward staff, nurses, and doctors to ensure safe patient handling and holistic care.
Educate patients, carers, families, and community agencies on treatment and home programmes.
Ensure timely maintenance and servicing of equipment and facilities.
Uphold high standards of care, compassion, professionalism, and legal accountability. Drive continuous improvement of physiotherapy services within the department.
Stay current with emerging physiotherapy techniques and technologies.
Professional Qualifications
Diploma in Physiotherapy Kenya Society of Physiotherapy
At least 2 years experience in the relevant field.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Strong team player with proven leadership abilities
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
Computer literate
Skilled in patient handling and manual therapy techniques
High level of integrity, honesty, and sincerity Committed to patient confidentiality and ethical practice
