Job Purpose:
To safely and efficiently operate Casagrande (B125, B170, B180, B250) and Bauer (BG28, MG48) piling rigs to install deep foundation piles including CFA, ACIS, and Percussion / DTH piles in accordance with project specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
Rig Operation & Piling Execution:
Operate rigs for CFA, Temporary Cased, ACIS, and DTH piling.
Set up rig alignment and positioning.
Control drilling parameters and ensure pile accuracy.
Monitor concreting and reinforcement placement.
Method-Specific Operations:
CFA: Drill and pump concrete.
Temporary Casing: Install/extract casing for bore stability.
DTH/Percussion: Operate hammer systems in rock conditions.
Core drilling
Tremie concrete
Understand the requirements for different drill tools for different soil conditions.
Machine Setup & Maintenance:
Perform daily inspections. - Check hydraulics, winches, rotary head, and safety systems. - Report faults and assist maintenance teams.
Safety & Compliance:
Follow HSE procedures and method statements. - Maintain safe working zones. - Identify overhead electrical cables and request the foreman to identified all underground services before drilling.
Quality Control:
Record pile depth, volume, and drilling parameters. - Ensure compliance with specifications.
Team Coordination:
Work with supervisors, and crew. - Direct assistants during operations.
Minimum Requirements:
Experience: - Minimum 5 years operating piling rigs (Bauer/Casagrande preferred).
Experience in CFA, ACIS, and DTH drilling.
Qualifications:
Certified operator (CPCS/NPORS or equivalent).
Valid operator license.
Safety training certifications.
Skills:
Understanding of soil and rock behavior.
