KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES


Accountable for all financial reporting requirements of the unit, including development and continued deployment of necessary templates, production of performance metrics, control systems and compliance. This specifically includes but is not limited to:
Coordinating all business cycle templates in liaison with all other stakeholders in the planning process.
Delivering meaningful high-quality management information to support both the day-to-day operational management of the business as well as aiding strategic decision making.
Monitoring core financial processes (SOPs) and reporting requirements that ensure that the unit's strategic objectives are achieved.
Influence the Finance and Business teams in driving metrics and presentation of results.
Manage all reporting requirements of the unit.
Interpret, implement, and monitor organisation policies and procedures.
Ensure concise review of current and projected operating results.
Support in designing robust cost management & other programs to provide operating economies and improve profitability.
Support in maintaining adequate product costing systems and cost evaluation activities.
Proactively assess key assumptions underlying operating plans identifying risks and opportunities in line with
management's expectations.
Evaluate unit's capital investment requests.
Support Operations initiatives at the unit.
Provide timely and relevant information to support stakeholders in decision making.
Support in timely generation of management accounts; maintaining compliance with IFRS and other statutory obligations.
Support in overseeing the unit's external audits requirements.
Support the budgeting process - templates, timelines, meetings, and review sessions.
Perform any other duties as may be assigned by the BC/CFO


KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS


Qualified Accountant (ACCA, ACA, CPA(K) and CIMA) with a university degree. A postgraduate qualification such as an
MBA is an added advantage.
At least five (5) years' relevant experience with three (3) years of well-rounded experience in busy reporting role preferably in the manufacturing sector.
Knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standard (IFRS)
High attention to detail, ensuring that all financial submissions are complete and accurate.
Able to work autonomously, strong self-driven & maturity to remain accountable for results.
Excellent communication skills.
Outstanding knowledge MS office packages, especially MS excel.
SAP/ERP knowledge in FICO and other integral modules
