Post School Prep (PSP) Content and Development Senior Associate at Nova Pioneer
Nova Pioneer
ABOUT THE ROLE
The PSP Content and Development Senior Associate will design, script, and produce engaging digital learning content that helps learners reflect, plan, and act on their goals. Working closely with the Post-School Success team, you'll transform Nova's current in-person and slide-based materials into interactive digital modules and micro-learning experiences.
You'll be part of the core founding team creating the first version of the PSSP, combining storytelling, learning design, and creative media formats that speak to how young people learn today. This is a project-based role (initial 12-month contract, with the possibility of renewal based on performance, funding, and programme needs).
Key Output: Weekly PSP modules and session kits shipped on schedule; content correctly tagged and versioned; <1% publishing errors; basic engagement snapshots shared each sprint; learner and facilitator feedback incorporated into the next release.
Key responsibilities of the role include:
Content Strategy & Engagement
Translate existing PSS curriculum and frameworks into learner-centered digital modules.
Create scripts, storyboards, and outlines for interactive lessons, short videos, and reflection activities.
Localize content to reflect African learner realities — culture, language, and context.
Research and integrate real-life case studies and success stories relevant to post-school journeys.
Collaborate with the Product Designer to ensure content aligns with UX/UI flow and engagement patterns.
Support the PSP programmes manager in the running of the PSP camps, particularly from the standpoint of a content expert.
Production & Quality
Draft learner-facing copy and visuals with clarity, warmth, and motivational tone.
Work with video producers or illustrators to bring content to life through micro-videos, animations, or infographics.
Apply principles of universal design for learning (UDL) and accessibility.
Conduct learner testing and use feedback to refine and iterate content.
Collaboration
Partner with the Product and Engineering teams to test content integration in the platform MVP.
Work with the PSS team and school-based facilitators to ensure digital content complements in-person experiences.
Participate in content review and QA processes to ensure accuracy, consistency, and tone.
