Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Power Plant Electrical Engineer to join our team in Ilishan, Ogun State.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for the operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and optimization of generator sets, particularly CAT and MWM gas engines, within a power plant environment.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee the operation and maintenance of CAT and MWM generator sets.
Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical systems and power generation equipment.
Diagnose faults and implement effective technical solutions.
Ensure optimal performance and efficiency of power plant operations.
Monitor electrical parameters and maintain accurate maintenance records.
Ensure compliance with safety standards and operational procedures.
Support plant shutdowns, overhauls, and upgrades when required.
Collaborate with mechanical and operations teams for seamless plant performance.
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
4 - 7 years proven experience in power plant operations.
Strong hands-on experience with CAT and MWM generator sets (gas engines preferred).
Good knowledge of electrical systems, switchgear, and control panels.
Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
Ability to work independently and within a team.
Good communication and reporting skills.
