Requirements:
National Diploma in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Public Finance, Financial Management, Accounting or an equivalent qualification. A minimum of two (2) years' relevant experience in municipal supply chain management, logistics, asset management or procurement administration. Valid Code B Driver's License will be an added advantage, Proficiency in MS Office applications and municipal financial management systems. Knowledge of the Municipal Finance Management Act (MFMA), Municipal Supply Chain Management Regulations, Preferential Procurement Policy Framework Act (PPPFA) and other relevant legislation will be an added advantage. Excellent organizational and administrative skills; Excellent analytic and problem- solving ability; High level of integrity, responsibility and confidentiality; Have ability to give attention to detail and be able to work under pressure; Report writing; Communication Skills; Ability to deal with conflict situations; Excellent Negotiation skills.
Duties:
The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating logistics management activities within Supply Chain Management; managing the receipt, storage, issuing and distribution of goods and materials; maintaining accurate inventory and stock records; processing and monitoring orders, deliveries and related documentation; assisting with procurement and supplier administration processes; ensuring compliance with SCM policies, procedures and applicable legislation; conducting stock verification and reconciliations; maintaining proper records for audit purposes; attending to internal customer queries; and preparing reports relating to logistics and inventory management.
