We're looking for a Pricing Specialist who can help us stay competitive and profitable.
Education
Matric with Mathematical subjects
3-year Import or Export related qualification at NQF level 5.
Knowledge and experience
Knowledge in the Clearing and Forwarding Industry in a controller / estimator capacity
Experience in Air, Sea, Road and warehousing in both Import and Export required.
INCO Terms
Knowledge of DGR, Temp Control and High Value cargo an advantage
Product specific freight handling & movement requirements
Basic international trade principles
Applicable sections of Import & Export control Act
Geography
Aligning in co-ordinance with Functional business objectives and strategies
Understanding of the Rate structures applicable for Freight Forwarding
Carrier & depot conditions of trade. Tariff calculation concepts
National currencies and international codes
Computer literacy (Ms Word, Excel) and Shipshape an advantage
Negotiation skills with carriers an added advantage
Detail oriented - Accuracy and attention to details
Problem solving skills and decision-making skills
Interpersonal skills
Good communication skills (written &verbal)
Time management - must work well under pressure
